It's frustrating for sure. Sometimes we say duck, and a duck is just a duck. But the person you are talking too hears duck but thinks ugly duck.

Maybe the best thing to do with people that you care about is to teach active listening. You know, when you get them repeat back what you say so you know you are on the same page? I often do that with my clients so I am sure I understand what they are saying. I sure wish I was better at that a long time ago. I might still be married! LOL

You know us men, we all have selective hearing! (just joking guys!)
